2019 Year in Review

Pioneer has closed the books on 2019 and what a year it was! We might go so far as to say it was our best yet, and we would be remiss to say that we couldn’t have done any of it without all of you. Check out some of the highlights from 2019 that helped to make it an exceptional year:

  • Last year marked Pioneer’s 30th year in business. Although celebrations continued all year long, the anniversary was highlighted by a networking cruise down the Chicago River and out onto Lake Michigan to watch a beautiful sunset over the city that has enabled us to reach this milestone.

  • During 2019, Pioneer completed over 500 site assessments, including Phase II soil studies, Phase I ESAs, TSPs, Limited ESAs and Property Condition Assessments. Additionally, we completed hundreds of construction-related projects, including various asbestos inspections, numerous construction materials testing service projects, and several hundred geotechnical soil studies.
  • With the acquisition of several dozen No Further Remediation (NFR) letters on behalf of our clients in 2019, Pioneer has continued to increase its #1 standing in the State of Illinois for obtaining site closure.
  • On a philanthropic note, Pioneer employees collected and donated 235 pounds of food in their biannual food drives and 95 items for a local toy drive. Additionally, Pioneer provided donations to a variety of charitable organizations, including the Mercy Home for Boys & Girls, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the Greater Chicago Food Depository, City of Hope, the Respiratory Health Association, and the Eisenberg Foundation, among others.
