Mike Ciserella, Founding Partner & Principal

Mike Ciserella of Pioneer EngineeringMike Ciserella is a founding partner and principal of Pioneer Environmental Services, LLC.  Mike is currently responsible for the day-to-day management of the firms business, generation of new business opportunities, and leading the firm’s strategic planning and company’s expansion efforts.  After graduating from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mike worked for Shell Oil Company in New Orleans as a petroleum engineer.  With the advent of the Underground Storage Tank Regulations and Responsible Property Transfer Act, Mike and his partner started Pioneer in 1989.  Their objective was straightforward:  to provide responsive, efficient, and practical environmental solutions for the real estate finance and transactional industry. For over 25 years, Mike has been involved in virtually every aspect of the company.

Mike provides his clients the added benefit of understanding the business side of real estate investment and development, which is a direct result of over 20 years of experience in real estate acquisition, construction and development as an owner and developer.  He has pursued extensive graduate level coursework in civil and environmental engineering and continuing education in real estate law, zoning, finance and development; LEED building design; geothermal heat exchange design and construction; and, Brownfields redevelopment.  He is also a licensed Professional Engineer in the States of Colorado, Illinois, and Indiana.  He has been and is currently a member of various industry and real estate trade organizations.  In his spare time, Mike enjoys spending time with his family and German Shepherd dogs.  When time allows, you will typically find him recreating in and around Breckenridge, Colorado, skiing, biking and hiking.
