Client: Louisville Forge | Location: Louisville, KY
Pioneer performed a comprehensive Phase I Environmental Site Assessment at an active forge plant that encompassed more than 500,000 square feet. The facility was used for the forging/casting, stamping, and finishing of metal parts, specifically crankshafts, gears, steering knuckles, beams and other miscellaneous parts. Pioneer deployed two experienced project managers to the site in order to conduct a thorough assessment. The site inspection was performed over a several day period due to the size and complexity of the facility and operations. This assessment also included a review of potential wastewater compliance issues, as well as a review of air emissions permitting data that covered over 60 discharge points. After all the historical records, regulatory documentation, and site observations had been compiled and evaluated, numerous recognized environmental conditions (RECs) were identified in connection with the site.
